Supa Transfer

A WeTransfer alternative for large files

WeTransfer's free plan stops at 3 GB or 10 transfers in any 30 days, whichever comes first, and keeps each transfer on its servers for 3 days. If your files are bigger than that, or you'd rather no copy sat on a server, here is how the alternatives compare, Supa Transfer included.

The trade-offs: the other person needs the app and a free account too, and your computer has to stay on and sharing until they're done. If they're downloading over days, an upload service fits better.

Switching from WeTransfer

  1. Download Supa Transfer for Mac, Windows or Linux, and sign in.
  2. Drop the files or folder in and click Copy ticket.
  3. Send the ticket in any chat or email, as you'd send a WeTransfer link, with a note to get the app.
  4. Keep Supa Transfer sharing until they've downloaded. Closing the window keeps it going from the menu bar or tray.
